Thanks, guys. user added image

Here's my first texture test for the torso. I've still not completed unwrapping the UVs for the rest of it just yet. This isn't the final texture, just a quickie using color, specular, and bump maps.

I'd be interested in comments regarding skin color, etc. I don't know if I'm too pleased with the tattoo/bodypaint marking... don't know if I should just bring back the weird nipple clasp. lol

Thanks!

Looking good. I really like the reptilian skin on the arms and hands. Overall skin color is nice too.

I think a tattoo or body paint might be interesting, but it would definitely need either a clean design or some other color for contrast. Maybe use a snake pattern or possibly some body paint texture to make it stand out a bit more.

This is very impressive!

Hey, Kurt.

First you use "MakeMaterial #" (where # is a number... 20 for example) and it makes that many materials.

Then, you select groups of faces and apply a different material to each group. Once you've done that, run uvLayout and it will planar map each group of faces for youto put together. Still takes a while, but perhaps not quite as long as normal user added image
