This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
will post some new animation up soon thanks to everyone who has shown interest in this thread, be patient though because i've got some ambitous ideas !
Next bit im working on is the millenium falcon escape from bespin, just because the music from the film has inspired me to do that bit, so ive been compositing for the sky
Looks great although it's probably a test, i have something you could use;
-The animation needs a bit more longer archs(more curvy if you will) i have attached an image with a possible trajectory for this.
A reason for the falcon to turn back the way they came would be nice aswell, maybe some laserblasts fired at them?
They say animation is more of a dark art than a science, and i believe them!
i built up the animation sequentialy, and kept tweaking it, but when you go bak after a day or so you think... how did i miss that etc...
thanks for the input, but i will say, please go back and review the only 3 proper star wars films in existence... luke has just mentaly communticated with Lea his sister that it might be a good idea to pick him up, because the bus stops on bespin are a little precarious!!
I like everything except the laser beams and the explosions they make. They look composited and not part of the same image. they are too soft with too much transparency perhaps, especially the explosions. But if that was just to get an idea of the position or the scene in general nm my comments.
Maybe use a transparency map to give some transparency to the edges leaving the middle of the beams solid. Or use a glow effect or something like that. Im sure you'll come up with something.
