Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

All of my previous posts can be summed up with one sentence.
"I WANT MY MODELS TO LOOK LIKE THOSE!"

My first question is always, Nurbs or Poly's? And the answer is always, "Depends on the output."

Anyone know of a good tut video that compares the pros and cons of Nurbs and Ploys? Or is that pointless because Maya can convert either to either?

I WILL get this stuff!

Question about the garments/armor.
For example, in the 3rd movie, how do you think the fingerless gloves were modeled? Doe the whole forearm exist under the glove or was it trimmed at both openings?
I'm getting to where I can cloth my models and really get confused on how much mesh should actually exist.
