Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Nah, not gonna stress it .. if I make it its ok, but I am also a moderator, so I guess I am not eligable to compete.. besides, I would like to texture it, and I have a face to make, hands, feet etc.. and some simple environment aswell as rigging for posing ..

I have never textured a subD model, never rigged one, and I still need all the wrinkles in the surface.

Based on what I learn from this project - I think im going to make some tips / tricks / experience thing, maybe a video - I dunno .. lets see if time permits.

Caligraphics, I've always loved your smooth-looking models I think you should think about designing a step-by-step model project. I'd definetly pay for Caligraphics DVD - Organic Character Modeling.

Then all I'd need is the McKinley DVD, and I'll have the full set! lol user added image

Hi Caligraphics

Well for somebody who doesn't get on with SD's you're doing real good. Love the character. Dont forget you can turn on poly proxy mode to model in poly and watch the SD update if you wanna work polys!!

Keep up the good work

Hi Caligraphics

Looks good, are you gonna rig and animate?? Cos you do do some real good driven blend shapes on that jacket, you know get it to flow around and move when he walks.

If I am going to animate it, I would rather try to experiment with cloth, but lets see how far it gets
