Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

- Made the chin to neck distance shorter by pushing the whole face in a bit.
- Reshaped the skull a bit.
- Lifted the mouth a tad up and made the lips a bit sharper.
- Sharpened the eyebrow line some. Remodeled the neck.

Feel free to comment but I'm not going to retouch the model much more since it'll be mostly covered with the helmet anyway...

i like it K, The texturing is really starting to come out. It may be or just the render. but his eye brow area seems to really buldge out.

Hehehe... I modeled it open (relaxed) like that because it's easier to rig. Once rigged I'll change his expression user added image

Got an anatomy question: As jet pilots are (?) generally quite short guys <- what defines the shortness? I mean I got reference of an "ideal" male body but it looks too tall to be a pilot's body... Where do snip the length? user added image
