what exactly is the difference of newbie or normal? if i send in as newbie (as i am one) do have more chances to win, but less honor given out as it would be a newbie thingy? any problem if it is not textured or animated? questions questions questions.

i will join this one when i have thought of a good idea. does one month mean it is due 11/30 ??

Hello, babyduck

Newbies are judged more on there "effort", than on their finished product like normal entries. Honor and prizes are the same (Take it from me, I won a newbie entry once user added image)
Not a problem at all with the animated thing, but I do suggest you give texturing or shading a try, since they could spark up your entry.
(You could try two excellent videos in the VIP section to learn this)

Looking forward on seeing your entry! user added image

It´s possible that IF the entries are going ok, and they´re being updated regularly, then we could stretch a bit the competition´s time.(to allow for better final entries)

As of now, It finishes 11/30

This one should be an interesting entry. Remember that the mech itself has to be thought off, so if the scorpion tail works for something then put it in, but if it doesn´t, then perhaps it´s not a great idea to get in.

Even though scorpions or spiders aren´t technically insects, we will assume for this competition that they are, this to take advantage out of their features.

I want so see some entries come on!
