Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
Since no one of us is able to fix this disturbing bow texture thing, I decided to not let it go by like this.
In a new attempt to understand the problem I copy pasted the boxes that come with the scene from the book (good id huh?!).
Like you can see in the pic it does it good this time, but only on the boxes that were pasted into my scene.
When i tried to assign the material from the good blue striped box (on the right) to a box I made (yep the blue box on the left, ya'll can see what happened.
Maybe it's a geometry thing? Mybe my box is way to small? But if so why does it not do the deformation on the good boxes?
Apparently it's something in the box itself, or is it in the applying onto the box?
Anyone?

The thing that controls how a texture is shown on a piece of polygonal geometry is the layout of the UVs. You simply need to adjust your cube's UVs to have it display like you want.
