i say yes

i think it would be great to be able to sift through all the 3d wips and finished products with ease. plus then every one could get help from anyone else no-matter what 3d app they happen to use

love the ideauser added image

... what is with the user-profiles ?
have we to register new?
I didnt think it is easy, because for example I didnt get my name registered from simplylightwave to simplymaya, it was taken from an other, so I decidet to take the name xseye here on simplymaya... I think this is a problem... did the person with my simplylightwave name get than my points and my videos here on simplymaya ?
I didnt vote till this points are clear,
I like to vote for yes, but I hope there are not so many problems than...

I voted yes. I would like to see a much larger community but still be application specific.

site

It's very good that you decided to merge the sites. This way there will be more visitors, a bigger gallery and will increase the popularity.
When do you think the new site will be launched?

ggrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! what, another app???? why, is it an improvement on Maya, whats the difference?? I have it and a book worth $100, i've been thinking about it for weeks, so in one respect it could be great to merge sites but why, can lightwave do what maya can not, or will it 'simply' ( user added image ) bring in more people meaning a larger data base of knowledge (always a good thing)

I voted no (preserve the status quo at all costs!!) simply because I like the seperate sites, but I personally think it makes sense to merge.

Will user accounts be migrated over to the new site?

I read somewhere that Autodesk were going to discontinue Combustion, or maybe intergrate it into the rumoured Max/Maya hybrid.

Mind you, not everything you read is true, I suppose ...
