Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Nice going DJ! You planning to do anything with him, animation wise?

AlphaFlyte: yeah, very subtle changes makes a HUGE change of the appearance in the face... and it's not possible to get a 100% likeness since the polys are limited, but I'll tweak it some more.

Gster: Thanks, I'll do some small animation tests, walk cycle, goofy stuff....then maybe import the model in some game.

nice texturing on this dude (yourself) DJbLAZER
I think you could definitely do with some altering around the upper and inner shoulder areas. If you break it down to basic lines then you should be able to see where the problems lie.
Here's a real quick example (admittedly the model image is not a direct front view) of adding lines to the ref and model to show you what I mean - simple can often be better user added image
Looking forward to seeing you running around

this is looking pretty good. I was thinking of doing something like this but I suck at modeling people.

Keep it up, hopefully I'll get to see it animated

Here's an update. I spent a lot of time trying to get more correct proportions on the body and also modified the uvmap and texture. Just minor changes to the head. When I compare this to the previous one I posted this looks 10 times better! :attn:

I'm still not happy with the crotch area, it's a bit hard to get right since it's mirrored in the uvmap... and jeans arent symmetrical in the crotch area.... maybe I'll break the symmetry in the map on just that area, I still have a small area available in the texturemap.

Fiddled a bit with the crotch area :p

I think I'm about finished now, so if anyone doesn't point out some disasterous thing, I'm gonna start with the rigging.

Here's a quick and dirty rig, using Setup Machine. Haven't refined anything yet. He looks like a retard.
