Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Hehe - that's my dream computer - one that I can fully control with my mind alone.
Touch screen isn't that useful... it requires proximity to the screen and can be quite annoying.

such dreams are reality (maybe not how you invision it though... not how i do anyway)

the human brain interaction research group can control things on the computer using raw brain power

of course you have to cut your head open to do that, but you can still do it (cutting your headopen and sticking electrodes is more accurate than using the non-intrusive computer-brain interactions where you stick electrodes around outside your head)

acid: i don't see why you can't use touch screen now? or even multi touch screen.

ah yes.. open cv.... kinda glad i avoided that....

Why whats wrong with Open CV, I used it quite a bit a while ago for tracking, worked fine.

As for brain control southampton uni do a lot of it to control a wheelchair, funkey stuff

don't get me wrong i think computer vision sounds interesting (but really tough)

ok, let me re-phrase...
i'm glad i avoided the lectures that used that

from what i hear the lecturers here who were meant to be teaching such things weren't much help.

apparently other universities that use it appear to give a lot better guidence and not just a "heres open cv, here's two completely different cameras that have no chance in hell at getting in sync with each other so you should go out and buy your own pair of $400 cameras, oh and btw, we aren't going to help you with the actual programing of this stff, we'll just tell you theory of something else user added image"

and then spend weeks sleeping overnight at the labs trying to get the algorithms to work when they have been planned out and should be perfect but aren't because the cameras aren't callibrated properly
