I'm surely joining this one, The movie made me speechless. user added image

but i just wanted to ask a question about the avatars, and i hope someone knows it.

when you look at an avatar body and face they seems to have this some sort of white dots all around them and it seems like its glowing. just out of curiosity, are they specular maps?

@Lion`I -Don't know for sure but I'd bet there's probably a dozen or so different maps that all subtly combine to create the skin and glowy dots. Too much bioluminescence in that movie, but that's beside the point. I think I'll create an Avatar rave/rant post eventually.

Dude, i cannot wait to get the other one, so that i have daul 32 inch monitors at 1080p, 64 inches of desktop space at my command....at 1080p resolution...omg.it will be beyond amazing.
I'm actually modeling in maya the design i want to use in my room...once i get the layout complete i'll post it on here..
i'm not doing anythgin pretty just using Basic cubes to the correct deminsions to see how it will look and what all i'll need.
