Bullet, I used to get that when I worked with Sub-Ds, but found that if you right-hand mouse clicked on the object in the outliner, and select: "show shapes" or "Attributes" you'll be able to expand your model (in outliner) and view it's sub-shapes, then just select the cage and delete it.

Yeah Bullet my Maya is old too (8.5). Think they don´t like/use it because they have the smooth preview user added image. Give it a try. When you have Problems i can help you with the setup (Layers/Proxysettings). It´s easy when you know how and you can see the result without converting everytime.

Did some modelling today. Make the Rear Rotor and some Rockets and the Gun. Hope you like it.

NOW she is starting to look like a killer bird mate!!! ooohhhh yeeahhhhhh. You must have done some modelling!!!! jeez wait until you get to the UV!!!user added image

You are making really good progress, keep it up!!

Yeh I will try it, it would be nice to have the smooth preview but the missus thinks over $4000 AUS for the new Maya is stretching the friendship. bahahahaha

Im halfway mapping the spitfire, re started my 701 STOL and will start the Tie fighter tomorrow (cant hear the tutor, audio is too low).

When I start the Tie fighter I will PM you if thats ok??? I would like to see how this works, I have been caught accidently saving it while in sub-d and couldnt get my mesh back from memory.

cheers bullet

PS got the keyhole thing in my handle worked out, painful.

Hey Guys,

was a littlebit lazy the last Days. But today i started with the redesign of the Helicopter. The Exterior is finished and i start the interior when i found some good refs. Want more Details. First on my Redesignlist are the Weaponholders. It´s not finished yet but I think it´s a good start. Hope you like it.

paldav: It was more an accident then my wish to add reflections but after the render I thought it looks not bad so I decided to let them in.
