Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

i think if you need two bump maps on a model then you're thinking about it badly. or not, im not sure... maybe you could use that whole layered shader node thing
or you could just combine the two maps making the middle of black and white to be flat with no bumps.

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

Computer skills I should have:
Objective C, C#, Java, MEL. Python, C++, XML, JavaScript, XSLT, HTML, SQL, CSS, FXScript, Clips, SOAR, ActionScript, OpenGL, DirectX
Maya, XSI, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Motion, Illustrator, Flash, Swift3D

Yeah, that's what I ended up doing.

Cool lobster! And very cool to see the texture work along side of the modeling work, -it's looking very impressive!

Thanks. user added image
I really like this modular approach, it means I don't get bored of one particular task and it gives me a better idea of what the finished thing might look like.

The body is modelled and UV mapped, hope to texture it tomorrow.

It's nice to see so many new people, let's hope they stick around. It's (un)surprising what affect $500 has.

I remember that. I don't think many of them stuck around. At least with this people are going to have to work for it.

Textured the body. Not sure what I'll do next, torn between the claws/arm or the tail.
I'm not going to worry about the shader until later.
