Thanks Murambi. Yeah...I have tweaked a little bit today, but probably not enough. Its very thin isnt it...if that's the bit you mean, the very front part...the nostrils...

I've widened them a little but think it could do with some more. It's not really supposed to be a lifelike human nose. Im working on the torso at the moment...will post up later on when I'm done for the day.

I made a couple of attempts at the torso yesterday. Still really struggle with the arms, and understanding the muscle structures there. I wanted/want to try and capture as much of that form in Maya first, but cant help think there must be a better way to go about it...topology wise. It's not too bad as a base, I guess, to sculpt on. But, don't want to rely on ZBrush as much. Still got a lot of room to fiddle.

I had a little look at the nose and widened it a bit. Still not great. may turn it into a 'proper' nose later on.

Not bad so far.

You'll have to nail the forms of the torso and arms better, before you subdivide too much. But you've already covered all that.

Looking forward to more.

DO you mean in Maya or Z? Im making all this in Maya first, Im just rendering it in Z cause it looks better.

Just got in an hour so tonight. Here are some shots of it smoothed and not, in Maya...and rendered in Z.

first tweakings of the leg and roughing in their position....

and shot 2...with legs and lower torso attached.

May redo his upper torso, is not good enough I dont think.

torso rebuilt. And attached.

More satisfied with it. Still room for further tweaking, particularly all down his back as Ive worked pretty exclusively so far on his front.

And shot 2.): With feet (hopefully in better proportion than on my Sagat model)

Shot3.) Mental Ray Render

body just about formed out. Think I should have another good session (or two?) of tweaking before starting to decide what to do with him...

Yeah. Gotta sort that out. Most of the back is still pretty unworked.

Nice update, the torso is better now. A few hard edges here and there, but a lot better.

A few areas need fleshing out here and there. Like where pec runs into the shoulder.

Thanks Steve. Good you agree on the torso.

Yeah...that area round the shoulder needs work. Some of those straight lines should go also, but thinking of using that one down the front of the lower leg for the shin bone.

I think his arms still need alot of attention. And all down his back as mentioned above. What Zbrush style I have I think can be quite heavyhanded, as Im not used to being as meticulous with the base mesh first...so I dont know whether I'll end up going into Z and be overly radical with it. I guess thats kind of a new mindset I have to try and adopt...to be a little bit more sensitive with what I have done so far, and try to just help it along...rather than go OTT. I dunno...we'll see...

I am pleased with the feet though. I find myself looking at them and thinking 'hey, they're pretty cool'. The fingers are all wierd and pointy and knuckly at the moment. Another work day to get through tomorrow then a couple off. Aim to start sculpting I think during those.
