I agree with Honestdom. Don't do it in Maya though. Just bring it into photoshop and change the brightness and target the HSV to certain colors. I just spent a minute doing this and it looks fine. Also adding the flares would help a little bit more. It is 3:40am. Later, I am goin to bed...

thx guys user added image

Honestdom:The render is small cause its only a wip around 90% progress(& the render takes a lot time). The picture you linked inspired me to transform buzz, so it was a reference image user added image I bet you noticed user added image
The TronBuzz picture was made in Photoshop so i decided to make a real 3D one.

Chavfister:I am tuning the lights in Nuke. It will take some time user added image I am not a comp expert.

I wasn't stating to relight. I was saying the lighting worked fine with the ratios he has and he just needed to adjust them in a comp software. If he has Nuke, AE, PS, or Fusion it doesn't matter. I was simply saying to adjust levels. Get the hell out of 3d as fast as you can with the passes you have which you were already doing. Just keep it up it looks really good.

I am doing the light refining in nuke. I rendered a lot passes, like 23*buzz/maincage/backcage/lightbulbs... so the only limit is my knowledge user added imageuser added image

I ve rendered light passes too so i can tune the light easily. Btw I dont want to copy the lighting of the ref picture. I like it a lot but it does not fit to my area i think.

Finally Finished.
Since the last post i made an arena to the background. It took pretty long user added image . I tried to make some fake croud with fractal... did not work. Than i tried mattepainting, it was not for me.... so i made it in 3D too. Then put back to Nuke & render.
That was my first finished work. I made a few works before but never finished.
Hope You like the Result user added image

np from photoshop to reduce the image data size use save for web devices. The loss in quality is minimal
