Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

You may be thinking of the comic character Thor user added image

hehe he had (as if he actually was real) two goats (!) that pulled a carridge. I'm guessing the goats could fly. user added image

hmmm maybe I could use the wings after all. I'll have to think about it.

Wow, I just did a google search and my head is still spinning. Looks like there are as many ways to describe him as there are web sites... user added image

Here's one link and it does have a picture of him on the chariot with the goats....

It's too bad you're not around here. I used to collect Thor comics back when Walt Simonsen was Illustrating and the plot lines were all heavy duty asgardian stuff. Still have the comics in a big box here somewhere. Nice action shots with his chariot and goats pulling him.

Thanks guys!
I know he is a bore, but I want to focus on the modeling.

I never liked superheroes, except one episode of batman, where he battled a killer cop (scary).

haha I grew up on Donald Duck and those small WW2 Combat Series and the like, from the age of seven. The stories were great I think, but the dialog may seem a little simple today user added image

If I had marvel comics around years ago, I'd probably be a fan of that genre.

Thor is an excellent choice. Just my own 2 cents but you may want to give him a longer beard considering he is Nordic.

Your art style is very cool. You have excellent detail in your sketches.

undseth - great skills and strong style! Like it.

As for the anatomy I feel like for the thickness of the arms there isn't enough variation - like the wrists should be perhaps a little thinner, and the elbows - the shoulders a little wider - a little more muscle definition... but there is a massive solid quality you got there 100 percent.

Excellent conept. I think i'm infatuated with his hammer.
Maybe you could show Thor for what he really is: a little maroon "alien with arms and legs like TOOTHPICKS." [see Stargate]

Thanks everybody!

ereitz: Yes you're probably right. You know, it gets kinda messy if you sketch too long, and I was getting fed up user added image, so I did not try to draw the muscles as the real deal. It would be hard, but I could do it. But it is certainly something to think about, in the model. user added image

Thanks for your reply, I need this anyway.
