Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Edit: Was in a weird mood last night and have decided to change my comment, if anything to keep the thread from drifting into a different conversation. user added image

Gotta love the "edit" feature haha.

Regret nothing Perfecto.....look I think the title is maybe misleading in a way. Ok you CAN go to a 2D forum for all things 2D on another website...sure...and of course as long as the forum isnt a hassle for SM go for it I say. I think Im with dave when 2D covers more things like UV mapping, PS...as dom said compositing etc. Yes this is a 3D site...but I wouldnt think it would go astray....there are forums for texturing etc but I dont see anything specific for what you are asking. It would also, as has been stated come down to practicality and time and also money. At the end of the day it will come down to business....the site has to make money...simple as that and if the forum is not a plausible venture then it cant happen...as much as some of us would like.

cheers bullet

I'm all for it if there are enough people that will support it, but if not then I'm not worried about it. The 2D Art Concept thread we already have is still acceptable.

I think a Poll should be set up to see how many people are interested.

A bit late here, interesting to see what other people think. We'll add something to the forum when we get the new and mysterious site up, most likely it will be a 2d -2 1/2d forum for sculpting, illustration and anatomy covering zbrush, mudbox and photoshop.

I like the idea of a post-production section too, it's relevant to Maya users so maybe we can try to fit that in too or change around what is there already in some nifty way. The point is like some already mentioned to avoid getting ghost forums and also confusing members who are new to the site by having too many subcategories. Dave enjoys the extra work by the way user added image

Well, if it's all gotta revolve around Z-brush and Mudbox, then I'm against it. This petition was not set up for that reason.
