Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Looks good! You should add a fender type thing over the legs, and then just add insane amounts of details like bumps and component looking things maybe hoses conecting joints and such! Anding panels of armor and components and bumps will give it a much more realistic look and really brings the model to life!

Ok I'm almost ready to complete it but havinf a few texture problems, I made a metal texture for it but it's not coming out the way i want it,, Dose any one know where I can get some cool metal textures from?user added image

Highend3D, Maya's website has some... I personally have found that in my mechs to make as much of the texture in modeling itself then color it. In your case I'd say to make a bumpmapped one as well as modeled bumps! Check out my current WIP to see what I mean.

Polys right now, Except for the gun arms, I used circles and lofted them and turned them into polys.
