Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

whoa... very nice! I love his hair! Was that done with the fur tool? if so, man can you guide me to some tutorials or did you learn it all through the help files?

One thing i think you should work on.. is his mouth. I feel that in a model you should have it modelled to wherever visible from all angles. So i would make a throat that goes inwards a bit.. up to you though, if you texture it right it shouldnt be a problem (Y).

I don't like the mouth either. I'm working on a procedural texture to see if I can get a good mouth. Fur, I got that look in a flash. Fur can get very complicated depending on what you want. What I did for this example is create a nurbs plane that is parented to the body, and I attached a fur description to it. If I added it to the complete body than I would have to create maps for the bald spots. This can be very anoying

if he sneezes nothing would happen. no atractors on the fur. Tutorials....not to much time to create them.
