This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i
ok ,just a wire..
btw this is my first time box modeling
so far i have been edge extruded..
ah this is so fast and alot more "visual" of your final reasult..
but for human faces edge extrude is just the best =)
btw about the wire.. i got 2 nsided in the nose ,which i will fix ,easily.. and 3 more on the end of the head ,these are just because i havent gotten in to detail with the body.. so when i will start it there wont be any ngons there ,as they will be continued for body detail
thanks.. iv'e been modeling for an year now..
but this was a really funny model i truely just started making shapes. i just said "hey lets make a mouth.. " then " hey this looks like a nose.. lets shape it up a tad more.. " lol
so it is funny
also yea i know i post as hard edges so you can see the topolgy abit more.. ill show smoothed version as its a bit more defined
i like the hard edges ,i like the whole cubism.. sometime i make a fully model to be smoothed and i say " wow hard edge looks so cool" and i leave it as is )
Looks like a good start to your dragon-moose beast! I like the shape.
You could also try converting to subds and working in those too if you wanted to play around with it- can get some interesting smooth results that way.
thanks alot witchy
i like sub'ds ,but i cant use alot of tools..
i like polys all and all and i just smooth with normal poly smooth every now and then to see whats going on.
Looking great wiz! I feel your loosing a bit of definition, so maybe tone down the smooth a bit. But other than that, its really coming along nicely . I realise its the beginning though, so keep at it .
"I should call you sugar maple tree cause i'd totally tap that" haha
you should really consider the subd's though, challenges are a great place to learn something new. you could really get some nice detail with partial crease.

I agree and at this stage it would be a breeze to to convert and still be able to use poly tools.

My New Site MayaFx.com
update..
i have this body i made LONG ago..
i can rebuild it for the challange..but i am not sure
if it will fit? what do you think..
btw, i know hes way too friendly now ,but some evil teeth will fix that )
looking good! I know that you have to actually build all your parts during the competition.. so you wouldnt be able to use that cool torso (nice arm anatomy BTW)
