Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Would you have gone to Hitler's house to ask him over a nice cup of tea and some scones why was killing all the jews and give him 3 weeks to answer, or would you have gone over to his house and killed him?*

Ok ok ok, so maybe the analogy wasn't the best one user added image But I'm flat out keeping up with all the topics of this forum, let alone one the size of cgtalk...people are bound to miss it. My point is that you aren't going to give someone your files unless you have somewhat of a repore with that person. Killing the account would take away his identify...his repore. Assuming he wanted to continue this cloak and dagger dealings with another account, he would have alot of work to do rebuilding. That's my view atleast.

*Nah, I wouldn't have killed him "not even the wisest can see all ends"

I see what your trying to say but i dont think taking away his identity is not a good idea because i would have loved to hear what he has to say for himself...I for one want some kind of public appoligy for what he did...now we will never get one.

now with his username and account banned we will never hear from him again, we may hear from other people clamming to be him for a joke (like we did with dale) but we will never know its him or somone else.

banning somone who only has about 35 posts (in my eyes atleast) isnot much of a punishment, we all know he can re-register...he will re-register anyway even if he wasent banned so whats the point?

If he is so guilt ridden, he'll just create account account to give out his heart-felt appology. Thanks to the anomous nature of the internet, there isn't anything that COULD be done.

Realise, the pic in Mark's avatar, which you would asume is his own work, Much like Mushroomgods... was bought online, and then claimed as his own. In the thread on CGTalk, the thread poster mention where you could buy this head. I emailed the maker of the head, a link to the thread...

this is kinda intresting though....if somone sells somthing on the net and somone buys it wouldent you think that its ok to use it...for whatever reson thay like?

mind you, when i saw his avitar i instantly recognised it and remembered seeing it before...If i didnt know what I know now id assume he modeled it...I do remember being mighty impressed with it.

He claimed to work at MGM Studios

This is another thing I found quite odd.. Most people know where MGM Studios are and even if thay dont you would think that unless he had a MGM email account why would you trust him?

oh well, im sure people will be more carefull after mark and dale

Not to burst anyone's bubble but there is Disney's MGM Studios in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. I actually had two weeks of "Music Business" classes there when I was in school in the early 90's.

This guy has been found out and I doubt he will manage to get any work. Good thing too, plagarism is pathetic. If he had spent time asking questions of the people whose work he stole he'd have learned more.

But I do think it's a bit of an overreaction to equate him with Hitler. Stealing someones work is not exactly genocide, and this guy is not exactly getting away with it, and rightly so.

I can't say I feel a need to spam him with porn or do the other mob type things some people on cg talk are suggesting as that's as bad as the plagarism thing imho. He's been caught, he'll pay for it, why descend to his level when one can just point. And laugh.

Yes, I will. user added image. A guy took work from like all of the greatest 3d artists, put his name on it, and put it all on a huge gallery. He listed out all of the latest programs on the gallery and said he was good at it all (i smell bootleg). His name is dale williams supposedly. He is such a dumbass. The thread is still on cgtalk if you wanna take a look at it.

Please link to the thread. If i remember right, he claimed mental illness...?

No i dont think spammign him with porn or what ever is right. I just want to let every cg/3d/art forum i can think of, know, that this guy is not to be trusted. Cut him off. CG Artists are all one big group. When someone makes fun of CG on TV, it offends all of us. When someone hails CG as a wonderful thing, we are all proud to be a part of it. Just as this. When someone steals from us, and sherades themselfs as one of us, we should all feel betrayed. If this guy has talent, then good for him. The world can always use more artists. But i have not seen any art work that i can say with out doubt is his. Therefore i do not see this man being cut off from CG as a great loss to art comunity.

I'm not equating Hitler to anyone. It was simply an analogy, not a comparison.
