This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

I like him/her/it alot!

the only thng I can think of to work on is maybe the feet area? The bottoms could be a bit flatter - this would give the character more weight. a little cause and effect user added image the feet would be flattened by its weight and the contact of the ground.

thats my 2 cents!

looks great!

Really you think so? I'd be more than happy to make a tutorial. Just give me some time to do it. I'm kinda juggling multiple projects. user added image

EYEBALL TUTORIAL as promised

Here it is... it is also a W.I.P. (technically speaking) it is actually finished but I might change things with it.

A note I forgot to mention... the iris and pupil and clear outer part of the eye will have to be scaled up just a little bigger than they were. And of course apply smooth poly to get the right look on all the parts

Anyways without further interuption:

I hope you guys like it. Let me know eh.

I am still not finding any good rigging tutorials for free. (Remember I am trying to save for new version of Maya (5.0) so I can't buy points right now. Although I've been tempted... those tutorials look really good. Same problem with books user added image). Is it against the rules or can someone recommend a good tutorial?

Thanks guys... I'd love to get Mike's tutorials... but did you see how many there were.... I mean I'd have to spend a nice chunk of money to see all the tuts from the 2 part rigging series. And when your saving for Maya 5, a Dual Processor Compy with 2-3 GIGs of RAM, Studio MX, Photoshop, Wacom Intuos2, and Jeep Rubicon it gets kinda expensive to be spending money on things you might find for free. user added image

I wish there were other ways to get points. Hehe :bgreen:

With only 9 days left in this month's competition I don't think I have much of a chance of doing anything worthy of winning. user added image. But thanks for the encouragement Howard. Maybe I will try in next months competition. :bgreen:
