Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Caligraphics is this all you do all day...because it seems like you are getting alot of progress AND FAST!!

What ever you are doing keep it up.
Another thing .....i am a noob so maybe you could give me some tips on how you do it?
so how do you work that fast? what keeps you going ?
you would be a good rolemodel figure for meuser added image

I hope you didn't waste your time reading this line.

ehm...

eh...

hmm...

No, this is not what I do all day. Today I have taken care of my 2 year old daughter whos ill.

When I have had the time for it, and felt like it I have been drawing and stuff like that.

Then I have cleaned up a bit here aswell. I have watched teletubbies user added image with my daughter - no honestly I watched it alone user added image

so I am actually not that fast. I would have finished that model by now if I had all day for it.

With risk of sounding arrogant: So how do I work fast ? - I guess I just know what tools I can use for a particular shape. This comes from experience, and I have been doing 3D for the past 15 years, 9 years pro.

so just keep practicing.

The model looks very good. I still got a lot to learn to top that in such quick pase (just switched to Maya from 3DS Max).

Though I was wondering why u didn't make the feet in 2 parts where the toes are attached to the feet by some joint/hinge. It will give the character better walking ability like in your concept sketch. Unless u're going for the rigid flat-feet or soft floppy-feet kinda walk.

b.t.w. In my earlier post I asked if the little searcher got set aside for other projects ... I'm quite new at simplymaya.com and got your registered date confused with the actual post date. Thought u started this in march 2003 ... Do'h :o

I disagree. It's THE toon-like element in the whole model that makes it a search robot.
Or might as wel take away its legs .. why walk when u can fly? user added image
