This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Great Render! user added image

I have a question though, when you render Final Gathering, does your object lose its shaders? or can you use Final Gathering with a textured object?

your render will still keep the textures when you render with final gathering, I just haven't done any textures for it yet

thanks a lot

i'll use them a bit, but i'm not a big fan of star wars schematics as there aren't any made of the ships made in the movies

there are the oficial ones but they are different from the ones used in the movies, at least thats what i noticed

The first ones were done with the default renderer, 1 ambient light and 1 ray-traced diectional light

this one and the last ones were done with mental ray using final gathering

the main difference between the last 2 is the asdded detail on the midsection and the top part the joins the mid section to the rear section has had some bits added

i'll do a close up of the mid section while i'm at work and post it when i get home

man i wish i could retire and i'm only 21

user added image

i know that it is a bit difficult to see all the detail, but that it because of the final gathering quality

This is inspiring!
I want to make a texture-focused-project sometime soon.
