Chris , you have eyes like a hawk mate..lol
I didn't even bother making a shader for the seats because they are not UV mapped yet, but just stuck the Maya leather on for the render so it didn't stick out too much ..my bad I didn't realize you were going to go over the image with a spy glass ...hehe
The render was only meant as an update on progress, guess I should have realized you guys would pick it apart ..lol
Thanks for the prezzie

cool render man, thou the basic red leather from the maya nodes are not so good, try using real leather from google images. you`ll get a better result.

WOW, this is looking amazing!
Nice work!
And like Gster123 said, a little blur in the reflections wouldn't hurt.

oh wow - haven't stopped by for a while - this is looking mad! great work jsprogg! ![Cheers user added image](images2/smilies/beerchug.gif)
not sure about the color though - i think it would work better with the color in your ref - lighter and more opaque - just so it really hits you. also, i don't think the ground should reflect - i just think it's distracting.
but really you know i'm just being picky.

personally the specularity highlights that is created form the studio lighting effect are not so great, you see them on all the car modelling these days.
It`s nice to see but it`s getting so standard in cgi cars. Why not try to make a sky environment and let the specularity bounce from the sky instead of a studio light.
Cuz to my eyes the car looks like it`s cgi over the limit.
Just my personal opinion,
Btw you recommended the hdri lighting

Guys i hear what you are saying about the renders but as i said before this is just a test render while I am actually still modelling and i actually intend to create an environment for the car , maybe a country house/mansion or something and the final render will be an outside render.
Thanks for the crits and comments though.

Hey man, looking good.
How did you get the refelction blur going in the end? Mix20 or did you manage to make the MR nodes?
