This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Starting now, the NEW official deadline for this challenge has now been pushed out to FRIDAY April 25th!

See the 3rd bullet point under the WIP THREADS section.
It basically states that producing your whole shot in the last few weeks of the challenge is not fair to the other entries.
HOWEVER, do not dispair!
This will give you time to prepare for the next Challenge coming in 3 weeks!

I hope it leaves some more freedom then the current one, that is the main reason that I didnt participate, well that and that I have to work.

Hmm he spelled prepare right the first time then he ended it with air, perhaps it has something to do with aviation.

Good luck to all who entered!
PS, in the event nobody enters thier final shot in the FX CHALLENGE submission thread, I will decide the winner based on everyone's WIP threads.
HOWEVER, if ANYONE posts thier entry in the submission thread in the correct way as described, no matter how far they've gotten, I will be giving that entry far more thought!
I will be going over the entries Sat. afternoon, and I'll be posting the winners Monday morning, April 28th!
Also, the next challenge will begin May 5th!
So get your camera projection skills ready

It has come to my attention that zipped or rared attachments larger than around 5 megs are not getting through.
So, in the meantime, PLEASE email me your zipped or rared animation at: ragecg@gmail.com
I will post all the animations at my personal site till we can find a solution in the meantime
