coldwave, from what i'm told generally the only replaceable things in a laptop is the RAM and harddrive (unless it's one of those newer macbooks with the uni bodies, which makes replacing parts impossible)

murambi, dont know any places with ddr2 ram

that's a "Ch" pronounced as a "K"

Computer skills I should have:
Objective C, C#, Java, MEL. Python, C++, XML, JavaScript, XSLT, HTML, SQL, CSS, FXScript, Clips, SOAR, ActionScript, OpenGL, DirectX

You won't be able too unless the case can take it. To put it quite bluntly, with a laptop your stuck with what youve got with regards to GFX. The motherboard may not be configured either. Bog no no unlessyou know exactly what your doing (I replaced a 7900 GTX with a 7950 GTX when it went pop in a dell XPS)

Chirone - Newer ones you can replace everything (or at least in the dell line up), CPU, RAM, GFX, Motherboard etc but due to the nature of cramming all the bits in and cooling the buggers a lot of parts (like the GFX cards) come with custom cooling parts on to distrubute the heat, and are a pain in the arse to do due to the space (or lack of it)
