Daverave: Put a ground plane under the tank for the AO renders mate - quite big so it covers double the size of the vehicle....the rays will have a bit more to bounce off and stop that burn out in the whites mate.
You could up the spread a bit on the AO too (around 1.1 to 1.5 and also the distance to 2000 +), its better but still a bit burnt. put samples to 64 as well. Also up the AA in the render setting min -1 max 2 should do it. It will be longer on the render but should look sexy once its done. Justdo it so you can see the the shape of the vehicle better too
"Your weapons are no match for ours! People of Mars, surrender!"
"Um, this isn't Mars. This is Earth."
"Earth? Earth-with-nuclear-weapons Earth?"
"Yes."
[long pause] "Friend!!"
Thanks Rick, Jay and Mayaniac
I think also that the occlusion pass looks a lot better, Still on the hatch only a latch to do. Jay were is AA in the render settings.............dave
