Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Not sure about all the props yet.

PolyMan Part 3

wohoo this was fun!

He, needs boots, but I just needed to get to know the polys a bit better, before trying to do any major picky bodyforming.

I did a search and it came up with someone with the name of Leon Trotsky, as source of your quote Hidalgouser added image

When force is necessary, it must be applied boldly, decisively and completely. But one must know the limitations of force; one must know when to blend force with a maneuver, the blow with an agreement.
-- Leon Trotsky

Ah yes. I believe I heard it at a martial arts seminar I attended many years ago.

I might have to update my sig to correct the quote...

I'm sick these days, so I refuse to do any work. But I shall finish what I've started.

Hammer - untextured for now

Thanks, I feel much better today, so I gave the poly face a try, and modeled the hammer.

My first poly-face attempt was discarded, as I need some better strategy.

I'm working on texturing the hammer right now.

Thanks Englar, I feel ok about the hammer.

I have started again to model the face.

I am starting to grasp the "technique" in placing the vertices at the right places, but I have soo much to learn.

I know the expressions are missing here, and the eye, nose and mouth will be a challenge indeed.

Then the hammer is approved, I will not modify it. I'll get to texture it, when I figure out how to do it the way I want.
