Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

There's still almost a month left! Plenty of time for you spectators out there. And remember, SimplyLightwave is also in on this! If you haven't, head over there and check out what they've done. user added image

Don't forget! At least 5 finishing entries must be completed if a grand prize is to be given out! I encourage all of you to get in there and finish! user added image

Hello Mike, what resolution do you want the final image? Just 1 image or more? Leaving to England at the end of this week for X-mas, so I have to finish by then.
Thanks user added image

Yours. Judging won't take place until whenever possible after the New Year holiday.

Hey Mike...theres a possibility that my domain name renewal for my site will cease to be valid from the beginning of january and as my final render is linked from there it could mess things up.
Could you possibly make sure you have a copy and ill do my best to keep the site going, maybe it wont happen but i cant be sure....thx.

We're heading into the final stretch!

As of this writing, there are only 4 finished Normal entries (1 at SL, 3 here). We need 1 more valid, final entry before the grand prize can be given away! Otherwise, we'll need to try again next time.

And when I say valid, I mean a real, final entry... not something someone just posts to get it to 5 entries without actually finishing. user added image

Because of the holidays, final judging, winner announcements, and the next challenge may be delayed a few days.

Also, please give us feedback. This was our first 2 month challenge... Do you feel that 2 months was adequate time? Too long? Let us know!

Thanks!

there will be one more valid entry. Unless I get hit buy lightning or ran over.

2 months is great I think. There is a good amount of time to really try for a good full concept. I'v found I learned much more. There was time enough to go for the gusto so I have bean pushing the envelop.

Thanks for participating, everyone! Expect the winner(s) to be announced more than likely this weekend, as well as the rules for the next challenge.
