Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
Well, I setup a qiuck scene, just to gie you guys a better idea.
Any input would be great!
Its 4:30 AM here, and so I couldn't do all that I wanted to do, so it may look a liitle off right now. I will do some more work to day when I awake up lol :p
i've been really busy today, so I final got some time to work more on my scene tonight
I have been having problems with 3D bump map, as I have not use it that much. So i'm not using it right now, I have to do more testing (drives me crazy).
Right now i'm not sure I like my setup for the background, but i'm going with it anyways. I am thanking about modeling a vehicle of some type to add to the scene, having the guy jump out to save the girl idea. I also have a lot more textureing work to do, and I i'm woundering what size texture to use? if you look in the foreground the textures are blurry, any inputs on this issue would be great!
Dont beat yourself up over mental ray, Im still coming to grips with it, shame theres not really a great deal of documentation with Maya on it. Im gonna get the MR dvd at some point.
Scale issues piss me off too with it. Bigger models, more photons etc!! More time rendering!!
A small thought for you: Good rendering was still achieved with a good 3 light setup way before MR, just render it in different passes and comp in AfterEffects if you have it or something similar.
where the girl weared less looked better to me lol
the scene shot above i really cool! how did u made the green blood? is it particles or simple geometry objects?
