Glad you're enjoying the thread stylish_chemist, sorry to dissapoint but no fro on this head! I'm just glad I'm not going bald (no offence to anyone who is!) yet!

Tim, I like 'old school' I think that's what I'll aim for from now on!

The bar area has started to fry my head a bit so I'm taking a little break from it, first stop pinball machine. I think I'll try my hand at a jukebox next.

Take it easy folks,

Mat

Tell me about it!! I'm in no rush though, I want to make this as good as I'm able to at the moment.

Cheers,

Mat.

Maybe a cigarette machine, but in light of recent news I don't think we will be seeing them around too many British pubs in the future.

I had the same thought!

The club's based on a dive that I used to frequent in my youth, it was more 'alternative' than disco, and there was a cigarette machine next to the main entrance. I was thinking about modelling it when the news about the ban on smoking in public places came on the radio and it made me think twice about it! I don't know why it should stop me from essentially drawing a picture but it did! I may still make it though, in homage to my mis-spent youth, see how it goes.

Ramble over, cheers,

Mat.

Hello again, hope everyone is well,

I managed to make a little time this afternoon to make a small amount of progress on my scene. There are a few bits and bobs that hre hardly noticable like a small penumbra angle on the coloured lights and the colour of the ceiling has changed (slightly!). Hopefully the light rig above the dancefloor and the pictures on the wall will not go un-noticed! There are mirrors on the central pillar too!!

The glitter ball and the coloured light balls are both animated to spin on the same four second cycle as the dancefloor and coloured lights.

Cheers,

Mat.

Wow, That looks amazing Mat. Well Done! You are definitely heading in the right direction with this and it has a good nightclub feel to it. Only one thing I am not sure about - hate to be a pain - is the glitter ball going to be reflecting all of the lights so they create patterns on the wall? How would you go about doing that??

Great work - Looking forward to seeing some funky dance moves.

Cheers mmoore5553, I've been called many things in the past but never an inspiration!

arran, I've been thinking about that myself, I'm sure I'll come up with something, just not too sure what yet!!

Take it easy,

Mat.
