Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

essentially just means, no textures of any kind

Would you like a Leonardo DaVinci bind pose, or do you mind if we put our models in a wee bit of a different pose, just to give it some more life?

If part two will have something to do with texturing, I assume that you'll want a bind pose.

you can pose it if you'd like for presentation purposes, but it'd be helpful to be able to provide the obj in a davinci pose, if it's a character like that. Good questions indeed!

I don't know what a da vinci pose is...

would using a blinn or phong somewhere be considered a "texture"? just curious, it'll help me decide if my idea is worth trying to draw out.
