This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with
complex objects.
Ok, been uv'ing the body and thought I would start blocking out her clothes as I will not detail the bits I won't see.
Here's the basic shape, nothing much else to show as uv are not interesting and I've been distracted by a noisy neighbour who may end up with knuckle sandwich for his tea.
I uv'd the body in multiple uv spaces (non0-1) so I could create multiple normal in Zmapper but when I try to create a map in Zmapper it turns to poo.
Have you or anyone else using Zbrush 3.1 on an object with multiple uv groups managed to create a good normal map after isolating one of the uv groups?
Just wondering if there is a bug or whether I need to readdress my uv's?
good work so far Gio, I love these characters. I need to get off my lazy ass (or stay on it) and actually start modeling again, I've had all types of issues the past few months, and work getting in my way... motivation is what I need and these posts are slowly starting to motivate me again.
