Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
Looking good! Like the reflections in the water and the light effect- is that in PS or done with lights? Not sure about the yellow patches but it might just be the angle.

the light effect was done with a spotlight
and im probably not going to leave the shell textures as it is...i just havent had the time to make a good one(and i have no idea how to make one )
Hey tweek, the crab is lookin great! I love the eyes .. just a bit bright for me though.. or it needs a pupil.. who knows. The legs look like they could use some definition.. and i think the moss/algy on its back should be a bit more red, or should have a bit of transparency to it. The scene is amazing though, wonderful!

Hey guys, just for any confusion, the challenge ends as of midnight (-8GMT) my time. Therefore after this post, which i posted at 8.. you have 16 hours left. Try to get your final renders in before that time.. if both people get there final renders before the end of the day, the voting can start then . Once this rounds got all the final renders in, i will update the tournament chart, as its hard when theres 8 people.. i will do it more frequently when theres 4. Great work so far to all of you.
