Awsome modelling man! If you aren't going to use file textures, I would suggest adding some procedural bump and color maps. even just a few bump maps can really bring a scene to life. same with a good lighting setup, and yours is wonderful!

I was thinking of entering a challenge sometime soon, but after viewing your work it looks like I have a long way to go before I can even put a candle to that quality of work.
Wow, and this is the Noobie section!
Awesome work man, you are a very talented artist.

Hehe - If you made that, then beleive me you are an artist. user added image

I really would love to join in but i'm still at a very basic learning stage, -1 problem is I cannot work out whether I should be using Poly's, NURBS or Subdiv's - BTW - which is yours? a mixture?
Also I have been struggling trying to get to grips with UV mapping for weeks! and have yet to do anything apart from a simple export (of a table shape) to Photoshop and back to Maya,
which was lousy when rendered - lol
However I would like to have a 'go' at this challenge, but in a non-competing way... I mean just try to make a LAB, do you think anyone would mind if I tried this, then posted my questions/piccys up on the Noob forum for help - do u reckon anyone would mind?
Regards Scraggy

You should just enter Scraggy_Dog, everyone is in it for fun, even the people who win. The competition is secondary to learning stuff and helping each other with models and things. And if you don't finish you can continue in the WIP forum anyway. The more people who enter the merrier imho!
