Thanks! Most parts are now finished, and with the latest details, there's only a few left;
cockpit
cockpit glass
small floaters under the wings
some ventilation openings on the fuselage
a handle there and there
a small square concrete airfield to act as a diorama for the airplane
I recently made the small wheel on the backside and the small nose on the big floater. After fiddling with the skinning tools, I discarded these options and simply did a loft and tweaked the cylinger-like-surface and capped it. It is not supposed to be attatched to the other surface, as it is made of an other material.
It is soooo much more fun modeling, when knowing how to go about problems.
Here I've added two small floaters.
edit:
The two floaters were made by a lofted surface on top and bottom. I did no stitching. I guess they fitted neatly together, due to the positioning of the two set of curves, which were evely spaced in the same way.
I'm gonna post this pic in another forum as well, but please dont mind, its just to "show off"
Blah... during a wierd curve rebuild (I accidentally did it without checking the options) my machine froze and after a while I closed Maya and lost 95% of my work with the cockpit. The incremental save, had not been updated.
