Whoa .. that thing looks surreal ... I could almost see it pooping now .. user added image lol

Great work Bullet!

(By the way, are those fins silk appearance done on purpose?, might want to tweak them a bit since it does contrast quite a bit with the hyperrealistic body ..)

Fins

adldesigner: Yes...the silky look was done on purpose....but u'r right...the shader network needs something to be plugged into the color. But i'm leaving the fish alone now...looking forward to the next competition....even when i'm not at home on october...have to go to school again ;O))

since there's no more time:: NOOBIE

i'm only working on this. i think i'm starting to get this now. i'm still figureing out the texturing part and i know you can use "Paint brushes" to "Paint" in the seaweed for the background but that may be a while yet. all the fun of creation is over once i get to the details, unless i directly effects the main object....too much like work....this probably should have went in the WIP but it is "fishy"

Actually that looks great! ..

I would like to ask to anyone who knows about it .. the jagginess in the beak part would be because of tesselation factors? How would you fix it?

Thanks!

see, there you go, i know nothing about tesselation. i actually had a book on tis stuff once(lol-borrowed it from 3Dnut.) guess i need to get that book back....to get the beak rounded that way i had to smooth it a couple of times...wasthat right? seems like there has to be a better way....btw..thanx adl.
