Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

wow! ok... i hope you don't mind but I am gonna have to go in and edit some of the script. minor stuff... like the window is too small... some scrollbars here and there... changing some float sliders to int sliders... no biggies, but overall WOW user added image :attn:

Also- im gonna change the (mostly) thing to

Matt B. and Arne OOG. because I feel that you have done so much with this... wow!!!

Oh- BTW- the camera lens sensor width... and lens sensor dist- that is a constant value... I hope you don't mind if I remove it.

And now I have to put my butt to work and add specular materials!!!! But I still have to create some custom mats... I'll do my best for an Indigo Material Editor window. With adaptive previews of materials... etc.

cheers on the great work user added image and have fun on ur vacation user added image

talk to ya later
-Matt

so... I got a bit of work done. its in a zip file now, along with the images and a readme file. READ IT FIRST user added image

there are 2 .mel files included, 1 for indigo 0.5.3 to 0.5.6 and another for 0.5.7 and 0.5 full.

most of the UI settings don't work as of yet, but they will. But the basics do, such as skylight, physical sky, and bidirectional on and off.

I've added more stuff to the GUI,
Stuff like "Maya to Indigo Help" and the "Up Axis chooser". user added image
(I have no idea how to get the Up Axis chooser working)

I've also created a "Logo"
user added image
I don't know if you'll agree, Matt, but I think it should be called
Maya to Indigo XML converter
Mostly cause it's more like a converter than an exporter...

And I took the freedom to create a tiny site for it,
with some info and a download button user added image

maya_to_indigo_xml_converter_beta0.1.zip
Maya to Indigo MiniSite
