Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Weird view of objects

In the attatched image. For some reason it just atarted that i can see the edged behind the object im working on. It should be set to smoothshade. I thought it was the transpatrency of the object. But its solid. I then thought x-ray was on. It isnt. So now im stuck. Ive never had this problem before so i dont think its my video card or anything.

cheak to see if it renders ok. Sometime things are just to close for the Zbufer of the Gcard to figer it out. Renderers normaly have a higher ZDepth res than the cards do.

Well i figured out what it was. In trying to fix another problem someone had me change the clipping values. I put them back and it all works fine now.

It did render fine, but in selecting some edges it would select someon the back face and disorienting view.
