Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

How do you change the XYZ manipulator?

I am trying to make sense here..

I have a couple of polys that are diagonal (I rotated them) The XYZ manipulator is now rotated as well. I would like to know how could I change the manipulator to be straight/up and down yet the object still be rotated?

Does that make sense at all? (HAHAHA)

Thank you so much in advance...

Press and hold "w" while left-clicking in the viewpanel. Select "global" from the marking menu. The manipulator will now be aligned to the world. Select "local" from the marking menu again to switch back to the object's local space.
