A glass of water

Hiyas!

I just found a tutorial about Mental Ray, and creating Caustics. It's great. You can find the link in my posting in the Mental Ray-section. (Sorry, but I haven't got it at hand).

Anyway, I tried to do a glass of water standing on a wooden table, with a spotlight coming from the top-right direction. What do you guys think about it?

CREDITS: The original model is from the tutorial and is not my work. I just played with it to get a nicer look.

Tutorial

hi!

I can try to find it again, but it's very simple. The table is just a plane and the glass is a cylinder. Simple as that. But I'll try to find it. This was just supposed to test Mental Ray a bit.

Have a nice day!

Just doesn't look that much like real water. Water doesnt distort things that much when sitting still.

Water is too glassy and refractive to be real water.

Cheers, user added image
