Is it possible to control Maya rendering process(either Mental ray, or Maya ones) via the API interface ? I need not only to render a scene, but also select a camera to render from. Most importantly though I also need to render to memory, not file, and then be able to access that image from API, scan it, discard it and render a new one into the memory. All that from plug-in function. Couldn’t find anything like that in API doc so any suggestions?
And, is it also possible to have your plug-in (.mll) function to loop for very long times (hours), without returning from it, and hence without completing Mayas loop. Or is there any other way to keep your app. looping inside Maya ?
