nvidia FX 5950 ultra

I finally upgraded my vid card to the 5950 ultra , been running it for about a week now and I have to say it is awesome...not just for maya but i do a lot of avi's and movies and the performance is mindblowing.
I would have liked a workstation card , but unfortunately I needed the video in for capturing ....still a happy bunny user added image

Nice. Been wondering about that card... what's the difference to 5900 ultra?

the 5950 has been optimised to run faster basically overclocked but it out performs the 5900 by quite a bit ...shop around though KB i found a big price range on this card and some packages have great software bundles & others nothing.

uhh.. i found out that most ati9800SE softmod without problems to 9800XT (without extra cooling) with the omega drivers and pumping up the meagaertz with the radlinker... (precisely my Ati Hercules 9800SE AIW diduser added image) pretty cheap for the value...

and if you dont mind an artifact here and there(eg previsualization of HEAVY things) you can put it over the edge to 1.3x the frequencys of the XT...(i bet it could be stable with watercooling! )
