Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

i'm not too familiar with this tank design, but usually the top peice is a bit smaller and is sitting on another level, but it looks like you are modeling the way u see the reference pics. it looks on point right now.

Well, this is not a tank, this is a tank hunter, designed to blast a tank at very long distance.

So, there's no turret spinning around the base.

you can find info at www.panzerlexikon.com

Thanks foo1971, i have not detailed yet the rear part and built the treads.

Why did you fail making the Wespe. You didn't have good image references ?

I rendered it using Mental Ray but i don't know how to make the rendering "smooth" (fuzzy shadows and s.o) Any help welcome.

new here but to make fuzzy shadows, try lowering the D-Map Resolution or lowering the D-Map Filter, or Both user added image (hope i'm right)

Ok, improved the texture a little, modelled the treads, tried to make the whole vehicle animatable...

Your TANKHUNTER wins points with me

im not going to push you around //shove*shove//
but im shure if you take a bit of dirt and throw it over your TH
then it will push up the realism...maybe even a change in scheme

*sorry*
uhm....forget what i said if you dont want to.......
but it's only one mans opinion
otherwise your TH Jagdpanzer kicks some wholesome Poly@ss
**** 5ive stars and three cheers!
