Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Hey RubberChicken

Wot a cool username!!! Its looks okay at the moment, not a lot else to say really as the image of your mesh is quite small, a bit closer perhaps with wire on shaded??? But its good you have plenty of angles on the reference!!!

Dude
I understand this is your first model head, but I would lose some of those 9 sided polys and a few others. Keep it all tidy then you wont have problems later on, texturing, rendering and animation
Believe me it will make a difference

Hi,

Meaning you are running your edges all over the place with no thought of how to set up the structure of the face for animation. You should rearrange your edges so that all your polys are quads for best animation and smoothness.

Dude

Thats better!!! Still a way to go around the mouth, the geometry is still 'odd'. You could do with some more around the cheeks and ear too.
