This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
heheh - don't know the fairy but sounds funny, I think I have read one or two of his books, about a wizard with this clothing chest with feet, that follows him!! (think that was a pratchett book)

Well i'm back from my hols, had a superb time. If you've never been to Canada go there for you next holiday. I also highly reccomend the white water rafting at Wilderness Tours, oh and the bungee jumping is awesome.
Anyhow back to matters in hand. After looking at the current entrys, WIPS and new tutorials i've made a few changes to my origional idea. Still the same basic concept but high-poly for a change, and challange, and not the rock-based trolls as in the Pratchett books more your traditional organic variety.
Tall ,gangly and ugly. Nice little tutu and wings (nailed on probably as there not very bright). A nice fetching bucket to keep the teeth in and maybe a little device to help increase the "quota" .
Righto i've got some ref's made up so I can actually start work on the beasty. No real chance of finishing the model in time but I think I might change it in to a WIP project after the challange end.
