Image planes

Hello
I put up my image planes and started to model. But i have a problem. whenever i try to select a component of my model, i end up selecting the image plane. I tried to template it but then i can't see the image on the plane.
The planes are NURBS and my model is made of polygons.
How can i make sure i don't select the image planes?

On the right hand side under your channel box you have a create new layer option create a new layer then select your planes and add them to the layer. Once you have them added you will have 3 squares have the middle one set to R for referenced.

I think the free dragon image plane tut shows you all the steps if you cant get it from my words.

I have another problem with image planes, I followed your dragon tutorial, and I think I'm doing everything right, except I can't see the image inside the prog, I must have done something right because when I render it shows up just fine, but I don't need the image plane for rendering I need it for modelling user added image

I'm guessing maybe it's just a single setting somewhere, but I can't figure it out... it's made on a polygon plane, and the image assigned to the plane as a lambert just like in the tutorial video.. any help would be greatly appreciated!

edit: oh dear I'm such an idiot... just ignore this one, I should have spent some more time looking through the tutorials for the answer..

yes, I did shortly after posting, when I watched that other Image Plane video tutorial (I only watched Kurt's at first, which doesn't say that you have to turn on Hardware Texturing IIRC - though I guess anyone but a complete noob like me knows that you have to hehe!).. which is why I'm an idiot, see edit above user added image )
