Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
what's a PCI express slot? Looks good though although 256Gbs of virtual memory is probably not quite true.... although 640Mbs onboard does sound pretty sweet
pci express is an upgrade to the old pci bus. The big thing about it is the amount of data it can handle at any one time going in and out. I think where these cards will benefit is when you can stack multiple cards for dual hardware rendering. This is basic but thats what got out of seeing these things working at Siggraph.
there are few options for PCI express cards already ATI, Nvidia 3d labs all make them. price can range from 200 US all the way upto a couple of thousand dollars.
