hey mt,

I know you use to work at a gaming industry and all, if you don't mind, whats the starting salary for a gaming 3d modeler and a high res modeler(ie movies)? And how good are the bonuses? I heard You don't get paid over time either and the big bonuses arent so big if you count the lost over time pay. I been thinking...40 k a year living in the bay area is almost suicide....

I still work in the game industry, thankfully. user added image

Salaries are so relative, that it doesn't really matter how much I make. It all depends on so many factors, not the least of which is location.

Check out the Gamasutra Game Developer Salary Survey for some good info:

https://www.gamasutra.com/features/20...olsen_01.shtml

Might need to register at the site to be able to see it.

I changed the title of the thread to something more fitting.
